3. Booking and Payment

To book any of our services, you must provide accurate details of your moving or storage needs, including the date, time, and locations of service. A deposit may be required at the time of booking, with the balance due upon completion of services. Prices are subject to change based on the scope of services, and you will be informed of any changes before services are provided.

Payments for services rendered will be accepted through the methods specified by the Company, including credit cards, bank transfers, or any other payment methods deemed acceptable by Hastings Movers. You agree to pay all fees promptly upon request, and failure to do so may result in delays or cancellation of services.

4. Cancellations and Refunds

You have the right to cancel services up to 48 hours before the scheduled move without incurring any cancellation fees. Cancellations made within 48 hours of the scheduled service may be subject to a cancellation fee. Refunds, if applicable, will be processed based on the cancellation policy.

Refunds for damages or other issues related to services will be handled as per the terms outlined in our insurance and damage policies.

5. Client Responsibilities

The client agrees to:

  • Provide accurate and complete information about the items being moved or stored.
  • Ensure that all goods to be moved or stored are packed securely.
  • Make necessary arrangements for items that require special handling (e.g., fragile or oversized items).
  • Be present at the scheduled time of service to oversee the move and storage.
  • Notify Hastings Movers of any changes to the schedule or location in advance.

Failure to meet these requirements may result in delays or additional charges.

6. Insurance and Liability

While we take every precaution to ensure the safe handling of your belongings, Hastings Movers is not responsible for damages or losses resulting from factors outside of our control, including but not limited to, natural disasters, accidents, or improper packing by the client. We offer optional insurance coverage to protect your items while in transit or storage. Please ask about our insurance options during the booking process.

Our liability for any damages caused during the provision of services is limited to the total amount of fees paid for the service rendered, and any claims for damages must be made within 7 days after service completion.

7. Moving Restrictions

Certain items may not be eligible for transportation or storage. These include hazardous materials, perishable goods, weapons, live animals, and any illegal items. Hastings Movers reserves the right to refuse the transport or storage of such items. A full list of prohibited items will be provided upon request.

8. Storage Terms

When using our storage services, clients agree to:

  • Ensure that items stored are properly packed and labeled.
  • Abide by all access rules and hours for retrieving or storing items.
  • Ensure all items stored are legal and do not pose a risk to the facility or other clients.
  • Pay all storage fees in a timely manner to avoid late fees or potential removal of items.

Hastings Movers is not liable for any damages, theft, or loss of items stored in our facilities unless negligence is proven on our part. We will not be responsible for any items not retrieved within the agreed-upon storage period.

9. Privacy and Data Protection

Hastings Movers respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal data. Any personal information collected during the booking or service process will be used solely for the purpose of providing the requested services. 10. Force Majeure

Hastings Movers shall not be held responsible for any delays, damages, or failures to perform due to circumstances beyond our control, including but not limited to natural disasters, strikes, war, government restrictions, or other unforeseen events.

11. Dispute Resolution

Any disputes between Hastings Movers and the client regarding services, payments, or other matters will be resolved through mediation or arbitration, as agreed upon by both parties. If a resolution cannot be reached through mediation or arbitration, the dispute may be taken to the appropriate court in Hastings, FL.

12. Modifications to Terms and Conditions

Hastings Movers reserves the right to modify or update these Terms and Conditions at any time without prior notice. Any changes will be posted on our website, and it is your responsibility to review the Terms regularly. Continued use of our services after any such changes indicates your acceptance of the updated Terms.
